UAV Hyperspectral Water Quality Monitoring System

UAV Hyperspectral Water Quality Monitoring System

Composed of four core modules — hyperspectral UAV unit, data preprocessing subsystem, water quality inversion algorithm module and ground synchronous sampling subsystem — this system delivers large-scale remote water environment monitoring. The airborne hyperspectral imager on the UAV acquires water surface spectral imagery across over 300 wavebands along planned flight paths. Raw imagery is processed by the preprocessing subsystem to generate standardized reflectance datasets, which are then converted into quantifiable water quality indicators (COD, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, etc.) via dedicated inversion algorithms. Meanwhile, the ground sampling system collects water samples paired with synchronized GPS coordinates during flight, supplying ground-truth data for model training and accuracy validation.

Features

· High-efficiency wide-area monitoring The airborne hyperspectral payload enables rapid coverage of vast water bodies, significantly boosting patrol efficiency and supporting synchronous water quality survey over extensive regions.

· Rich multi-waveband data support Over 300 spectral wavebands are captured to provide solid, reliable data foundation for high-precision water quality inversion modeling.

· Multi-parameter synchronous inversion Simultaneously retrieve key water quality indicators including COD, ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus to satisfy comprehensive multi-index monitoring requirements.

· Non-contact, low-interference operation No on-site setup or direct water contact is needed, eliminating sampling disturbance and environmental hazards, making it perfectly suited for complex and hazardous water areas.

· Highly integrated intelligent digital architecture Compact all-digital design supports full-cycle data processing, analysis and output, and allows seamless data interconnection with municipal water environment management platforms.

· Agile deployment with rapid response Lightweight UAV delivers flexible field deployment and quick mobilization, applicable to emergency pollution response, regular cyclic patrols and diversified routine inspection tasks.

Application Areas

It is widely deployed for surface water monitoring tasks covering rivers, lakes, reservoirs and drinking water source zones, including watershed environmental surveys, emergency response for sudden water pollution accidents, routine universal inspection and comprehensive water ecological assessment.
