The DNQ2 visibility meter uses forward scattering, with an infrared LED emitter pulse-modulated to illuminate the sampling space.Atmospheric particles scatter the light, and the scattered beam at a fixed angle 0 reaches the photodetector. After amplification and conversion, the CpU calculates the visibility (meteorological optical range) and outputs it via the RS232 interface.
