LGO-01 Atmospheric Ozone Detection Lidar

LGO-01 Atmospheric Ozone Detection Lidar

The LGO-01 ozone lidar uses the differential absorption principle, emitting two closely spaced pulses—one in the strong ozone absorption band (λon) and the other in the weak band (λoff). With similar wavelengths, scattering from other molecules and particles is consistent. The difference in attenuation, caused by ozone absorption, enables the ozone concentration profile to be derived from the echo signal strength.
